CARTA BIANCA—Editorial Design
In the midst of the April 2020 lockdown, Vogue Italia released an iconic, completely blank cover for issue no. 836. Art curator Valentina Ciarallo chose to bring that blank canvas to life through the creative expression of 49 artists, inspiring the "Carta Bianca" project—for which we had the pleasure of designing the exhibition catalogue.
For the publication, we created a layout designed to reflect the lightness of that historic cover while giving maximum visibility to each artwork. The catalogue also offers an interactive experience: via integrated QR codes, the reader can listen to the artists' own voices as they share the inspiration behind their work during such an unprecedented time.
